Gracie

Ingle Farm Primary School is lucky enough to have our very own Therapy Dog. Gracie provides comfort, companionship and emotional support to our students in classroom settings, around the yard and often assists individual students with regulation. Gracie visits classrooms everyday, works with small groups of identified students (Gracie Group) and visits children in the yard. She has an approved staff member as her handler at all of these times.

Some cultures hold religious concerns and some families may experience allergies, so we encourage you to get in contact to allow us to support your individual situation with a team approach.

Animal assisted intervention supports:

  • Improved fine motor skills, strength, and balance
  • Reducing experience of isolation
  • Regulation
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sense of purpose and motivation
