Enrolment

Ingle Farm Primary School welcomes all families seeking a positive education for their children supported by the values Respect, Honesty and Persistence. Since opening as a Primary school in 1992, we embrace diversity and value and celebrate a range of cultures, beliefs and backgrounds. We work in partnership with families and the community engaging children as powerful learners. Families from the Ingle Farm, Walkley Heights, and Pooraka areas have priority placement. Families coming from other areas and throughout the year are welcomed if space in suitable year levels are available. With growing enrolment trends our class compositions are frequently reviewed ensuring our students are provided with quality learning opportunities.

For all enrolment enquiries, please contact our Front Office staff on 8262 4864 who will connect you
with a member of our leadership team. In consultation, we will arrange a pre-enrolment meeting
time and/or school tour. Any previous kindergartens/schools attended will be requested so contact
can be made by our site prior to any pre-enrolment meeting.

During a school tour, you will be shown around the school based on the enrolment year level and
family needs. For example, a Reception student will see the playground, junior primary classrooms,
garden, nature play and the library. A Year 6 student will see the gymnasium, nature play, upper
primary classrooms and a range of spaces we utilise digital technologies. Families interested in Out
of School Hours Care, the Children’s Centre (for siblings) or the Intensive English Language Centre,
will be shown these spaces.

At the pre-enrolment meeting, the needs of your child will be discussed including previous
education, friendships, strengths and areas of growth, behaviour, medical conditions and family
supports. An information pack will be provided and discussed, containing information about our
school context, values and learning code, curriculum, school dates and times, attendance,
uniform, allergy awareness, car parking, and assessment and reporting.

In addition to completing a school enrolment form, families are required to
provide the school with:

  • proof of the child’s date of birth
  • proof of the child’s residential address
  • copies of any family law or other relevant court orders
  • Health Care Plans (Asthma, Anaphylaxis or other medical conditions)
  • Completed General permissions, photo and video permissions and cybersafety
    agreement.

Upon receipt of all necessary documentation, to the satisfaction of the school, the processing of
the families enrolment application may begin.

For Reception intakes, more information can be obtained via our Transition page. An information
session is held for families on the first orientation visit.
