Welcome to Ingle Farm Primary School
Ingle Farm
Primary School is located about 14 km north-east of the Adelaide
CBD.
Its approximately 500 students comprise: mainstream
students (12 classes); 16
classes in the New Arrivals Program
(NAP); a special class; and a class for children
with speech
disorders. Enrolments include about 10 per cent Aboriginal students,
12
per cent students with disabilities, 7 per cent School Card
and 72 per cent ESL learners.
The NAP provides an intensive English program for children from
non-English speaking backgrounds, many of whom are refugees. There
are school-based support programs
for students with learning
difficulties, and a family support program on site. Many students
are exempt from taking NAPLAN tests due to low English proficiency
or disability, but are included in the data as students who do not
meet the national minimum benchmarks.
Whole school focus areas
are literacy, numeracy and wellbeing.
The school also provides leadership in the use of Information and
Communication Technologies. Our school community has strength in its
rich diversity, living its values
of trust, honesty,
communication, optimism, commitment and respect.
